word from our principal, Ms. Lori Phillips...
Welcome to Gregg Middle
School, home of the Mustangs! I am excited to serve as the new GMS
principal. Our vision is to provide an environment that is safe and
conducive to learning. Together, everyday and in every way, we help all
students reach their potential in all aspects of learning. Thank you
for taking the time to visit our website. Now, come visit our school and
see all the great things that are happening!
About Ms. Phillips...
Ms. Phillips was born and raised in Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor's
degree in Elementary Education from Ohio University. She then
received her Masters in Education from the College of Charleston and her
administrative certificate from the Citadel. Ms. Phillips also
earned National Board Certification in the area of Middle Childhood
Generalist. After teaching in Dorchester Two and serving as a lead
teacher, Ms. Phillips went to work for the State Department of Education
as an on-site curriculum specialist for five years where she worked with
low-performing school districts to increase student achievement.
After serving as Assistant Superintendent for Instruction for one year,
she decided to return home to Dorchester District Two where she spent
one year serving as the sixth grade Assistant Principal at Gregg Middle
School. Ms. Phillips became principal of Gregg Middle School in
the summer of 2008. |
