Lessons and Activities for February and March

6th Grade

Ms. Smith will meet with students in classroom guidance to discuss Online and Digital Safety.  She will also meet with students to discuss how to finish this school year Mustang Strong!

Individual meetings with students (Friday Follow Up) will continue to discuss grades, behavior and situational issues.

7th Grade

Ms. Loggins will work with students in classroom guidance on Erin's Law, as well as Responsible Decision Making and Self-Discipline.

She will also conduct individual meetings with students to discuss grades and behavior.

8th Grade

Ms. Adams will meet with students with lessons regarding Responsible Decision Making and Self-Discipline.  She will also meet with students to plan for their upcoming Reality Town event.

She sill continue to monitor grades and behaviors in individual student meetings.

Lessons and Activities for December and January

6th Grade

 

Ms. Smith will have two lessons that cover Erin's Law and How To Stop Bullying.  She will also meet with students individually to check on grades and behaviors.  Goals will be established for the second semester of this school year.  Conflict resolution and teamwork will be emphasized!

Ms. Smith will also be conducting 8th grade IGP meetings during this time.

7th Grade

 

Ms. Loggins will have classroom instruction on Erin's Law, as well as group work on conflict resolution, perseverance and teamwork!

8th Grade

 

Ms. Adams will have classroom instruction on Responsible Decision- Making, Integrity, Productivity and Self-Discipline.

Ms. Adams will also be conducting 8th grade IGP meetings during this time.

Lessons and Activities for October and November

6th Grade

 

Ms. Smith will have a mini-lesson to start a series on Study Skills, Time Management and Organization.  There will also be small group instruction for those students asking for extra help with these topics.  She will then go into classes to discuss Bullying Awareness and Prevention.  

7th Grade

 

Ms. Loggins will have classroom instruction on Bullying Awareness and Prevention.  She will also discuss Self-Awareness with her students.

8th Grade

 

Ms. Adams will have classroom instruction on Bullying Awareness and Prevention.  She will also introduce her students to Career Development as it relates to choosing high school courses.  She will let students know more about the Individual Graduation Plans they will develop, as well as the high school registration process.

Lessons and Activities for August and September

6th Grade

 

The first lesson for 6th graders will include an introduction to their School Counselor, Ms. Smith, as well as the activities that will be done by this group during the 2024-25 school year.  During August and September, Ms. Smith will also conduct classroom lessons regarding Accountability, Respect, Responsibility and Self-Management as part of our focus on Regulation.

7th Grade

 

The first lesson for 7th graders will include an introduction to their School Counselor, Ms. Loggins, as well as a review of the expectations and upcoming lessons for the 2024-25 school year.  During August and September, Ms. Loggins will also conduct classroom lessons regarding Accountability, Respect, Responsibility and Self-Management as part of our focus on Regulation.

8th Grade
